The Traitors’ fan favourite Diane lands massive brand deal inspired by iconic show moment

The Traitors star Diane Carson might be feeling pretty rosey in the upcoming weeks – after being offered a brand deal despite her elimination.

Diane became the group mum and a fan-declared icon during her time on the show, thanks to her ability to pin down the Traitors of the game and hiding the fact her son, Ross, was also participating.

But her sleuthing proved to be her downfall when, halfway through the show, she was killed off in plain sight by Traitor Miles – who made her drink fizzy rosé wine from a ‘poison’ chalice.

The moment ‘killed her in plain sight’ and, after a delightfully over-the-top funeral march, she exited the game.

However, in the two weeks since her abrupt and and controversial removal, it seems she has become synonymous with the drink – and now supermarket Lidl is hoping to make the most of it.

On social media, Lidl has reached out to Diane’s son Ross to offer her a brand deal to become the face of their own fizzy wine range.

Sharing a photo of her face poking out behind a bottle, the team wrote: “Hey [Ross], reckon your mum would be up for a cheeky collab?”

It’s still not known whether she’s taken them up on the offer.

Either way, they’ve also dropped the price to less than a fiver to sweeten the deal even more if you’re a Lidl Plus member.

The offer runs nationwide from the 1st – 14th February, exclusively via the Lidl Plus app, which you can download via the Apple or Google app store.

The offer comes shortly after the killer finale, which saw traitor Harry Clark emerge triumphant after a nail-biting final roundtable.

Harry managed to convince Mollie Pearce he was faithful, despite protests from fellow competitors Jaz and Andrew (who was also a traitor and tried to throw his teammate under the bus as a final distraction).

When it came down to choosing between Harry and Jaz, Mollie remained with her friend despite doubts, ultimately leading to her being heartbroken when she discovered the truth.

But by then it was too late, and Harry took home over £95,000.

The Traitors is available now to stream in full on BBC iPlayer.
